In Pictures – Matt and Kim

I’m sitting here trying to figure out why I’ve never seen Matt and Kim before now. And you should be too, if you haven’t had the experience. I’m not sure I’ve ever been to a show that incorporated balloons, confetti, and dildos. Oh, and the crowd-surfing blow up dolls. No seriously. I’m pretty sure that Kim is my spirit animal because she uses the word fuck in every imaginable way AND shows her titties. As a little titty gal, I can appreciate! In all seriousness, Matt and Kim came out with boombastic energy and it permeated the entire venue. At some point, I think you’ll be able to see a bit of the shenanigans because they sent a camera-on-a-stick out into the crowd. I watched it move from the floor, into the seats, and back again. And the footage will be stellar.

Catch this show. Matt and Kim entertain in every possible way. I’ll think about this night in the coming days and I will giggle to myself.

Check out their tour dates. Go to a show. You’ll thank me.

How could you not want to see this?

Lover of music and the visual arts, Lisa Sanchez Gonzalez is the insanity behind Strains of Uproar and lsg original photography. lsg specializes in artist and performer photography. She’s had the joy of photographing national bands including Pearl Jam, A Perfect Circle, Dave Matthews Band, Ghost, Fleetwood Mac, TV on the Radio, Jason Isbell, Run the Jewels, Five Finger Death Punch, and In This Moment along with countless CT homegrown bands and performers.

Hailing from Hartford, CT, Lisa is a life- long music connoisseur. Growing up, her mother exposed her to everything from The Stones to Simon and Garfunkel to Earth, Wind, and Fire to Loretta Lynn…and everything in between. No genre was left unexplored in her vinyl collection. She saw her first concert at 14…Rod Stewart at the (then called) Hartford Civic Center. Thirty years later, it’s still her favorite pastime.

Lisa has two kids (grown!) and a day job. Her loves of music and photography have melded into a second career. And her love of CT keeps her promoting and pushing for local artists and performers. Lisa spends the greater part of her free time seeing and shooting live bands, performers, and artists and art work…and purchasing vinyl!
